Chickadee Childcare - Freeport

Mary wanted to be a teacher from a young age, and has spent the last two decades having amazing experiences teaching young children. Mary has thrived as a Director at two Montessori Preschools, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the role here at Chickadee. Mary loves being a guide to children, helping them work independently and respectfully, allowing them the joy of learning and fostering and enhancing each child’s natural wonder. Mary grew up in Falmouth and moved to New Gloucester in 2013 where she lives with her son Declan. During her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with friends and family. 

Eliza has worked with children for over 15 years! She enjoys creating strong communication with children, and using their creativity to express their feelings. She loves children's literature and reading books!  

 Erin lives in Lisbon Falls with her two children  and her husband. They have two dogs and two cats! The family loves going to concerts, camping, hiking, and listening to music. Erin loves being part of children's early years; everyday is full of discovery, laughter and meaningful events!

Elowen has been working and volunteering in childcare since she was a teenager, and has recently begun her journey as a Behavioral Health Professional providing care to kids in need. She loves connecting with children and parents alike, and the sense of community that comes with being a part of a classroom. When she isn't at work, she spends her time playing guitar, enjoying nature, and hanging out with her pets! 

Ryleigh spent two years of high school studying Early Childhood Education at Region 10 Technical High School, where she got certified as an early childhood education assistant along with completing a college class in early childhood. At Chickadee, she enjoys doing all sorts of art projects, playing outside and teaching children games she used to play when she was little. In her spare time she loves to babysit, color and hang out with her best friends until she had a baby girl in August 2023! Now she uses her time to soak up the tiny baby snuggles as much as she can. Ryleigh has always had a passion to work with children and plans to go back to school to get a degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development!

Anna is currently working on getting her college degree and has always had a love for working with children. In high school, she volunteered to help coach field hockey and also spent time helping in the pre-k classroom throughout her schooling. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, babysitting, and visiting her baby cousins. She also loves coloring, art projects, and playing games with the kids.

 Vicky has worked in child care for 38 years. She owned and operated her own center for 34 years and has been subbing here for almost a year and a half. Vicky loves the day to day interactions with the children. The smiles, hugs, and watching their growth are the best. 

In her spare time Vicky enjoys spending time with her two children, six grandchildren, and other family members. 

Growing up on a dairy farm, she also has a passion for cows and enjoys exhibiting them across the US and in Canada. 

Harley is excited to be a part of the Chickadee community! She enjoys doing art projects with the children and seeing their creative imaginations at work. She is a wonderful addition to our staff! Harley lives in Brunswick with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
