Bianca
Director
Bianca is a South Portland native; she graduated from South Portland High School in 2012. She obtained her degree in Early Childhood Education from SMCC in 2015. She is a mother of one with a background in administrative work, theatre, and love for all things Disney. She currently lives in South Portland with her husband, Zander, and their daughter, Saoirse. She is thrilled to be part of the Chickadee family!

Kim
Infant Coordinator
Kim has worked with children in schools and early education settings for many years. She is a mother of one with a background in education, theater, and technology. Kim comes to Chickadee excited to care for children and help them learn through exploration and play.

Summer
Chickadees
Summer is originally from Connecticut, and moved to Portland in 2020. She has a dual passion for teaching and art, and has been teaching on and off for the past 6 years. She has experience working with children of all ages, as well as a background in art education for children and adults. She attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and graduated with a BFA in Printmaking. She is excited to join the Chickadee team and incorporate her two passions into one environment!

Loraine
Assistant Teacher
Loraine is from Standish and has traveled to multiple countries and to 48 of the states with her US Military family throughout her life. She has years of experience with younger children, and has been working in the childcare setting for over a year. Loraine is attending USM for a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. She has a love for writing and teaching, and is looking to mesh these two careers together by creating a gentle parenting blog.

Taylor
Chickadees
Taylor is originally from Minnesota and moved to Portland in 2023. She attended college at Plymouth State University where she received a degree in biology and also played on the Women's Ice Hockey team. She has taught skating lessons to children of all ages, and this is what sparked her love of working with children! Taylor is excited to create a fun and nurturing learning environment here at Chickadee!

Keegan
Curriculum Coordinator/ Chipmunks
From the very beginning Keegan has always been interested in helping and caring for others. She was a CNA for 6 years prior to entering the childcare field. One summer she chose to work part time at a daycare and ended up loving it. She learned that she really enjoys watching and assisting the children grow up and move onto their next developmental mile stones.

Bailey
Playful Kits
Bailey has lived in Maine her whole life, and graduated from USM with a degree in theater arts. This passion for the arts began in middle school alongside her investment in working with children, starting with babysitting to teaching and volunteering. She has found her love for theater and all things Disney-esc helps when starting a relationship with new children. She hopes to teach kids to keep seeing magic in the world, and to make sure they feel loved.

Safa
Little Fawns
Safa graduated from Portland High School in 2019. She worked at The Children's Museum and Theater of Maine, and this is what sparked her love of working with children. Working with kids and giving them a nurturing and safe environment has always been her passion!

Kira
Little Fawns
Kira is a mom of three, avid reader, and lover of morning coffee! She is a certified infant care specialist as well as a post partum doula. She has been in childcare since early 2019, and has experience in conscious discipline and baby sign language. She considers herself blessed to be able to help nurture and inspire the future generation and looks forward to all the connections she will get to build at Chickadee!

Caroline
Tiny Cubs
Carolyn is originally from New Hampshire, where she worked as a Licensed Nurses' Assistant for several years. She has many years of childcare experience, and is also fluent in American Sign Language. She has worked with special needs children, as well as assisted with the Special Olympics! She resides in South Portland with her husband and daughter, Claudia.

Alanna
Playful Kits
Alanna is originally from Old Town, Maine. She attended The University of Maine and earned a degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in Education. She has worked with kids for the last 5 years and she loves watching them flourish into their personalities. She is very excited to be part of the Chickadee community and to create a positive, learning environment!

Prodige
Chipmunks
Prodige graduated from Gorham high school in 2020. He decided to work part time over the summer at a daycare center after graduating and ended up loving it. He can speak 3 languages fluently! He looks forward to learning from his co-workers and the kids here at Chickadee!

Avianna
Assistant Teacher
Avianna grew up in Florida and moved back to Maine when she was 10! She has 4 younger siblings and 3 older siblings. She loves being around children and watching them learn and grow! She has many years of experience taking care of family, and she has worked in a daycare setting for over a year! It takes a village, and she's grateful to be apart of yours!

Rylee
Assistant Teacher
Rylee has worked in the Early Childhood industry for 3 years. Her positive and bubbly energy brings a word of warmth to our children's days. She is so excited to be sharing your child's early learning journey with you!

Becca
Assistant Teacher
Becca graduated from Gorham High School in 2014. She’s always had a passion for teaching children new things and watching them grow. She has 7 years of experience working with children 6 weeks through 12 years. When Becca is not working, she likes to spend time with her friends and family. Becca is very excited to be a part of the Chickadee team!

Crystale
Tiny Cubs
Crystale is a Pennsylvania girl from a rural little town with only one stoplight. She has 3 grown children. Two still live in that rural area. She relocated to Maine a month ago after spending the last 8 years in NY with her oldest daughter. She is a graduate of Penn State and Argosy University. She comes from a field of working with special needs children.
